Back from the Keys

We had an awesome time. The weather was great, a little overcast but still hot enough we could get sun. The boys fished non stop all three days. I only went one day when they went and did some dolphin fishing. Which we were successful. Jeff caught a pretty big dolphin like 20 pounds or so. But it was nice to get away and just spend some time down there. Now its back to reality and we have a week slammed full of things for the wedding before Jeff goes back on Sunday. Starting today with our food tasting, going to our church to turn in paperwork, going to finalize our rehearsal dinner place. So I will be back to let you know how the tasting goes. Hope everyone has a great day.

Off To A Mini Vacation In The Keys

I am still in the midst of packing and its getting late, but we are heading south to the Florida Keys in the morning, Islamorada to be exact. My uncle has a house down there on the water with two boats so Jeff has been dying to get down there to fish. I am not that much of a fisherwoman, but I agreed to lay out on the boat while they do their thing. Although our last trip down here I caught my first dolphin, I was thrilled. So I may try to fish a little. Heres a picture of my first dolphin...

Hopefully we come back with good fish to eat, lots of pictures, and a great relaxing mini vacation. Because next week we have lots of things to get done for the wedding such as our food tasting etc before Jeff heads back up to North Carolina the day after 4th of July. So I will be back on Monday. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Fathers Day Weekend

First I wanted to say Happy Father's Day to the best dad in the world. My dad is so amazing.

Jeff and I had quite a busy weekend. I started the weekend off with a friend of my families wedding. It was nice, only one minor hitch, one of the groomsmen passed out on the altar in the middle of the ceremony. I guess he locked his legs and blacked out. I will remind my bridal party to not do this a million times prior to my ceremony. I have seen this happen multiple times at weddings.
Jeff and I drove straight over to see his parents and brother in Lake City for the night. His mom and I had such a great time, we went through all Jeff's baby pictures to find some for our slideshow that we will play at our rehearsal dinner. Then she taught me how to make her homemade macaroni and cheese, which by the way is amazing and happens to be my favorite food.
We hurried back to Jacksonville the next day so I could spend some time with my dad and family. All the kids made him dinner and then we all headed outside for a 3 on 3 on basketball game. Which was hilarious. My team just happened to win which consisted of Jeff, my dad, and I. We had a great weekend and we both are so blessed to have awesome fathers.

First Post!!

This is my first attempt at a blog, but I figured as much time and effort I am putting into this wedding I should blog my process. I'm sure my friends and family are interested in whats going on and will also be great to look back upon after all this is over with. I am beyond excited about the wedding and every little detail that it entails. I look forward to sharing everything with all of you. I have been dreaming of this wedding since I was five and have watched every wedding show and read every magazine possible. My father jokes and asks me what am I going to do when this wedding is over?
I am looking forward to the months ahead.
