River House

man oh man did i find an awesome place for a wedding from the outside at least. I am going to go down there and take a look at the inside because I am so curious. its right in st. augustine on the water. Its a beautiful building and the grand ballroom has french doors that opens up to a beautiful terrace over looking the water. I mean how could it get much better. I am interested to see what the inside looks like and if its just like another other dumb looking ballroom. Christina was telling me about it last night over dinner and its really not that well known as of now, but she has a wedding there coming up so I am so excited to go and do a wedding there.

Yay its Friday!

Man oh man I am so happy its Friday afternoon. I couldn't wait to get home to my puppy and husband. I needed a big glass of wine and just relax! I am so happy to do nothing all weekend.

My dinner meeting with Christina went so well last night. She is too funny we just sat and talked for hours over different venues and vendors and all the upcoming weddings she has that I am going to help her out with. I am super excited to be her new little assistant and help her out so hopefully one day I will be able to open up my own business.
So all is well and I think the first wedding I am going to be doing is the second week in March.

I am waiting to get a box delivered today from my photographer. I am super excited to get it. We have been designing something to send out to my guests and they should be here today. I am excited to see how they turned out and see them in person. I will post pictures once I get them.

Officially a Griffin!

I honestly could never go back to a DMV and be completely satisfied. I have been there so many times in the past two weeks trying to get my new license and every time they tell me I needed sometime different and I would go back and talk to someone else and they would tell me another form i needed. They changed all the laws this past January so you have to jump through hoops to get your name or address changed. I mean it is good because security is buckling down but good grief. I finally got it done today and I'm officially Kelli Griffin! woo hoo now all we have to go is go the bank and a few other things and we should be good. What a pain. I never want to have to do any of this crap ever again.

I have no idea why but I am just so tired and I had a 5 day weekend which is probably the cause of it. I think I'm going to hit the bed early tonight. Tomorrow I have quite a busy day. I have work, I'm going to try to make it to the vet with Jeff and Rocko to make sure Rocko is healthy and good to go so we can start fresh with him since he is already 1 1/2 I want to make sure he is clean as a whistle since we just got him and don't know too much about his past. Then I am meeting with Christina for dinner, she was my wedding planner for my wedding ( she was fabulous) but I am going to start working with her doing the wedding thing for some upcoming weddings in March and April. I am pretty excited about that because weddings are my thing i just love them alot. I am slightly depressed I have no wedding decisions to make so now I can hopefully help brides make their decisions and make their weddings as they always dreamt it would be.

I am dreaming of Friday afternoon at 3:30!

Some of our friends are sending us cd's with pictures they took at the wedding and I am getting some good ones of the room that I thought I'd share. They are a little better than some of the other ones I posted of the centerpieces and room a little more clear.

I love this idea of doing an antique soda bar with all the original bottles at a shower, party or just whenever. Its so cool getting a bunch of different color sodas or you can choose the colors to match your color scheme of a party your throwing.

Happy Valentines Day to Us!

Well we had such a great day just hanging with the two of us. Our first Valentines Day as a married couple. We went and had a great breakfast at a little place called Beach Diner. It was so yummy! Then we just hung on the couch most of the day.

As most of you know I have been wanting a dog for so long but Jeff just kept telling me to wait until the right one came along and it would happen when it was suppose to. Well a friend of ours parent's had a English Bulldog which is the dog jeff has been yearning for but they are just soo expensive. They already had multiple dogs so they needed to find a good home for him and asked us if we would like it. Of course we said yes with open arms. He is such a great dog he is a little over a year and house trained. We were blessed to get this dog and it just happened to be exactly the type Jeff wanted. He has a super wrinkly face and he is so muscular and strong. He snores soo loud! its hilarious. He farts and burps. I told Jeff its him in a dog form.

Happy Valentines Day Weekend!

I am one who loves every Holiday. It's always fun to celebrate in some way even if it isn't significant or huge. I think I got that from my mom. She always would buy us a present or chocolate and say its because of the Holiday. But really she is just to loving of a mom spoiling her kids. I am super excited to spend my first Valentines Day as a married couple. We don't have to much planned really just enjoying the time together. We are going to either due lunch tomorrow or possibly dinner but everywhere we call is already booked for reservations so we will probably do lunch. I hope everyone has a great day with their special someone. Enjoy what you have and who you are with.
