Furniture Shopping

It has been quite the busy week, but fun all at the same time. I have been furniture shopping daily to try to get some of the bigger pieces we need. There is no way we can furnish this enitre house but I want the eating and main living places to have furniture. Bedrooms are a whole other story, I have nothing.

Here are some of the things we purchased this past week.

We got a table for our kitchen nook and bought separate chairs not the ones in the picture with it but that are in a linen fabric and a lantern chandelier from ballard which is my favorite part.




I haven't seen it up yet, so this could be returned but I am thinking this burlap three pendant chandelier for over our dining room table.


I have no idea why but I like the metal safety pins you get some Ballard Designs for our laundry room, so I snag a few


Last night we made our big purchase which has taken me a long time to find one that right size and that I like. We found it at our local furniture store called Woodchucks. The picture doesn't do it much justice because its all dinged up and sort of rustic looking which goes with all of our other furniture. But this thing is absolutely massive because we have a big wall and we need it to take up quite a bit of space. I can't wait for it to be delivered


I think we are done furniture shopping for the big things now and we can just get little things to help decorate. The bedrooms will have to wait to get furniture.

Jeff's best friend from college is coming down with his fiance so we have a weekend full of fun and even took off work on Monday. Here is to a three day weekend and then only two work days after that till Spring Break!

Busy!

I do have good reasons for not posting in a long time....

Football season is officially over! We have been practicing quite a bit to get ready for playoffs. We had an undefeated season and are back to back champions. I am so sore today, but we were beyond thrilled we won the championship last night.

I know I posted about the house we were under contract on that was a short sale. Well we have been waiting to close for many months due to a nasty divorce. We got a little impatient and tired of the whole process. Dealing with the bank was the easiest part. My cousin graduated from Florida med and got her residency here in Jacksonville. So her and her soon to be husband will be moving into the house Jeff and I currently live in June. My grandpa would be so happy that his house was being used by all his grand kids. So Jeff and I decided to head back out and start looking. We came across a great house with lots of the things that I wanted. We put in an offer and it was a done deal in two days. It was nice because its brand new so we are buying it from the builder and no big things need to be updated or changed right away. We are closing in two weeks so we have lots of packing to do! The best part is we are not even one mile from our closest friends Allie and Brandon who just moved into their house last weekend.

So I have been on a furniture shopping kick to try to find some of the main pieces we need to furnish the house. We are going to go room by room and buy things slowly. My dad took me shopping on Saturday and bought these little beauties for us as a house warming gift! I have never been so excited over a washer and dryer. I swear I do more laundry for two people that any normal person should, so I cant imagine what it will be like when we have kiddos. So we got the biggest ones we could so I could fit all sort of stuff into one load to make my life easier. I hate doing laundry but I can wait to get these delivered when we move in.



So life will be crazy for the next few weeks boxing up one house and moving into another but all in a good way! I will be back and post pictures of the house once we are in and settled!

Baby DeLainey's Shower

It has only taken me like three weeks but I finally have some pictures and time to post from Jamie's baby shower. It was a lot of fun and turned out great! I had a lot of help from my mom, her friends, and my cousin. I couldn't have done it without them. I started doing things all week long so it wasn't last second. Here is a picture over load but I couldn't choose just a few. We can't wait for the little princess to get here in a couple weeks

Weekend Recap

Hope everyone had a great St. Patty's Day. We spent the day on the boat getting our first sunburn which felt great to have some color again! We just hung with family and friends and relaxed a little bit. The highlight of my weekend was we bought a bed and nightstand for our guest bedroom on Friday and then today we hit up target to get some bedding and a lamp.

I need to iron the bedding but it seems tedious because of all the ruffles! But here is a pic of what it looks like now. Thanks to my brother-in-law and Jeff putting the bed together Friday night. It is sort of going to be a rustic beachy looking room by default since I threw my friends a beach couples shower I have so many shells, signs, pictures etc left over I figured I should put it to use somewhere.




I got all the pictures back from the photographer from my sister's baby shower I threw. So a day when I have some time I will post pictures! Have a great week!
