Wedding

Other than my tire popping today and I can not sit down or barely move because I am so sore! it was a rather good day at the pool.
Look at this wedding by Vue. Love the dress. I wish I picked a dress more along the lines of this with a more interesting bottom then just a bubble hem. I love it!
Check out those blue Louboutin's

Jumping on the Bandwagon

This is what I feel like right now

I have let my life get out of control. I have been packing the pounds on since who knows when. I blame it on the wedding and all the parties but its my fault, and now I'm just miserable. So I decided to get it started by going to the HIT center. For those who don't live in Jacksonville its the High Intensity Training Center where athletes go and get their butts kicked to get in shape. They have this program called boot camp where you can have up to 10 people in your group but they literally just kick your butt for an hour straight. Holy Moly. I almost passed out today I am so out of shape. Its going to be good for me. Everyone in there knows Jeff because he always went there to train for football. So its interesting since they are all like oh your married to Jeff. While Jeff is one of the most in shape people I know and Im like dying for air about to pass out!. HA =)

But my plan is to do that a couple times a week and work out a day or two at home as well and eat healthy. I am cleaning our house out of all the bad food. Fruits, veggies and protein is all we will have. Jeff is on the bandwagon since his football days are over he no longer needs to be O-Line man size. He is so fit and in shape its crazy.

Anyone have any great healthy recipes they would like to share that would be fantastic.
I'm off to my classroom for the rest of the day! Have a good one.

I really really want this mason jar drink dispenser from Pottery Barn...

Weekend Recap/Miami Wedding

We had a great relaxing weekend! We had some drinks with our friends Friday night who were in town from Tampa for the weekend. Saturday Jeff and I did some things around the house, watched the USA soccer game and ended the night with cooking out and a movie from Redbox. Today we went to church and lunch then did a little shopping at the mall then cleaned house big time. My dad came over and painted our front door. It was in much need of a fresh coat now all i have to do is go get a new door knob as the one that is on there is rusted and gross then it will be good as new! Jeff worked on the outside as I cleaned the inside. We are both super busy during the week so we tend to just clean like crazy on the weekends. This upcoming weekend Jeff's Aunt from up north is flying into see his mom, so they are coming to stay the night Friday with us. Then Saturday our friends are coming in town from South Carolina to spend fourth of July with us. Chelsea is a friend I met up at Wake when we would go visit the boys every single weekend and she has truly turned into one of my closest friends. I haven't seen her since the wedding since we both have crazy schedules and live hours apart, so I am looking forward to spending the weekend with her. But I have all week before that happens!

I have tomorrow off from watching the triplets, so I think i'm going to head into my classroom and get some stuff done while I have free time. I cant believe in a month we already have to go back to school. time flies!

My love for chandeliers can not be described and I love it even more when they are used in outdoor settings. This Miami backyard wedding was beautiful!

Top 5 things When Planning a Wedding

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this. I have had a busy week and this is the first time I have had time to sit down and type it out. Then I honestly just typed out a huge post with pictures and everything and it deleted. So mad. So i'm not retyping it all. I have zero patience. So this is all your getting, sorry!

Here are the top five things you need to remember when your planning a wedding.
1. Flowers
2. Photography
3. Chivari Chairs (NOOO chair covers)
4. Linens
5. Uplighting

First flowers are so important to transform a place. You can put them everywhere from the tables to the ceilings to the doors, you can mix them up with branches and having candles and crystals hanging etc. Some flowers are very expensive like peonies and stephanotis, but you can choose different flowers to make it work for your budget.

Photography is the only way to remember your special day so do not skip out on a decent photographer. Get a great one and ask to look at their albums!

Chairs covers are a NO NO. they never fit correctly they look awful. Don't do it. People do it only because its a cheaper option. But chivari chairs are worth every penny and you can find them for 10 bucks a chair. its not that bad. If your having an outside wedding do the fold up wood ones. It's funny by the end of planning our wedding, my husband knew how important chairs were. He would see pictures of weddings without chivari's and be oh no look at the chairs. The wedding planner I am working with is obsessed with chairs just like I am, she is actually going to buy chivari chairs to rent them out to her clients for cheaper just so people use them because she hates the look of chair covers so much!
Please look at the fit of this chair cover. It just doesn't work.

You need to have a nice linen. If your having a more formal wedding you need to have something to replicate that. I personally love patterns on tables, hence my linen choice for my wedding. I also like pintuck linens and lamour. Polyester isn't my favorite unless you having an outdoor reception. Yes linens can be expensive to rent from 30 to 60 bucks for some but do not skip out on it because your guests will be on top of them all night and touching them and you dont want them to be nasty.

The picture below from our wedding and show the linens we chose and you can see the uplighting and candles. It really makes the room have a little pop of color.

Uplighting! it makes your reception fun. add a bunch of candles with it. It makes the atmosphere romantic. You can pick whatever color of uplighting you want to accent your wedding. It makes a great backdrop for pictures!

Those are the top five most important things when you planning a wedding. Of course your dress is important, but for your reception those are the most important. Really think about what you want your wedding to look like and go from there.

4th of July

4th of July is right around the corner. It is one of my favorite holidays! Here are some great decorating ideas if any is having a party on behalf of Martha Stewart.
