Little Road Trip

I am off to North Carolina to spend time with Jeff after a couple weeks apart. It is so hard to be apart so we are really looking forward to next five days together before football seasons starts and things start getting crazy. I am off to pack and get ready for the trip.
So my photographer is pretty amazing I just checked my e-mail and when she e-mails me I always get excited!! I love this picture of Jeff and I so we are currently getting this blown up and put on a canvas for our house and Im thinking to put up at the entry of the reception somewhere. I love it, pretty much sums Jeff and I up.

I will not be back until Wednesday. So until then.
Have a great weekend.

Entrance Dance

I saw this video of a couples bridal party entrance dance and just laughed. I can only imagine Jeff's football friends in their tuxes doing this. I do not think that will happen. But it is funny to watch and more power to this bridal party for doing this upon the bride and grooms request. Check it out. here is the link for it on you tube.

Love Getting the Mail

Checking the mail is my favorite thing to do now a days. I am always ordering something for the wedding and today I got a package with something I was so excited to see. I ordered something for the rehearsal dinner that will be a hit and I just love how they turned out.

I also ordered two wood signs off of etsy.com. It is such a great website with handmade items that just are really unique. I can not wait to put the up in our house.

This next picture will be exactly what it will look like, but will say, the griffin's, est. 2010. I can not wait to get it.

Honeymoon is Booked!

We are beyond excited for our honeymoon. We will be spending our honeymoon in Turks and Caicos. It is absolutely beautiful and suppose to have one of the best beaches around. We are looking forward to just relaxing by the pool and ocean enjoying our time together. We can not wait!

Real Wedding Tuesday- but believe it or not this is a Rehearsal Dinner. All I have to say is Holy Pink!

I had to check it twice to believe this was just the rehearsal dinner. I came across this on Soiree Blog from event planners in Charleston, SC who do amazing work. But believe it or not the groom chose all the pink decor. I love how it is just desserts and drinks, but they have such a wide variety including krispy kreme dougnuts. But the pictures will speak for themselves.

I love Grey!

Grey could possibly be my new favorite color. I absolutely love it. It could be in weddings, a wall color, clothes, furniture it just so awesome. I really wanna paint half of my house grey. It is so modern and chic. I came across this wedding where the girls wore grey dresses and I thought it was absolutely amazing. It truly is such a versatile color, it looks really great with yellow.

I had a great weekend, just relaxed and hung out. We finalized our invitations and now they are in the process of being made. They are so pretty I can not wait to share them with all of our guests.
I'm counting down the days till I get to go visit Jeff! I have less than 2 weeks and he has only been gone for 2 weeks and it seems like forever! I will be so happy after the wedding when I will be able to walk into the next room to see him rather than drive seven hours!!

6 Months!

Its crazy to believe Jeff and I have been engaged for over a year as of July 1st and now we are 6 months away from our wedding. Times flies and i know these last 6 months are going to go by in a blink of an eye with Jeff's football season getting ready to begin in a month. I am on the road every weekend so it feels like I'm always on the go, but would not change it for the world. I can not believe it is already his fifth season, it is going to be bittersweet saying going to Wake Forest as we have spent a lot of time there and football has been such a blessing for Jeff to follow his dreams. I think it was such a great decision for him to go there academically and for football. Especially since it was driving distance from Jacksonville. I'd figured I would add a cute picture of Jeff playing football.

Also a little side note we went shopping for the Mother of the Bride dress yesterday. We were definitely not planning on purchasing a dress, but we absolutely fell in love with a black and white pattern long chiffon dress. It is beautiful on mom and we are so excited we found it, we could not pass it by. So another thing done off the list.

Wedding Shoes

Well I knew I wanted some sort of color for my shoes, I did not want just white or ivory. Since black is just a major color of my wedding I decided to buy black satin shoes for my wedding. I really wanted something special about them, so I asked my friend Allie, who is so awesome at art projects, if she would glue little crystals onto my heels. She is so awesome and an awesome bridesmaid and said she would do it. I think they are going to look so awesome, especially for pictures. Here is what they will look like when she is done. I can not wait!

Real Wedding Tuesday

I'm going to start posting a real wedding that i have come across that I really like every Tuesday.
So for the first one I found this wedding on vue photography's blog. I loove summer wedding there is so much you can do, but the chance of having bad weather for an outside wedding seems like to much stress that is not needed. I really love the longue area they create with huge lanterns.

D.O.C.

I never thought I would hire a wedding coordinator for the wedding, but lately I have been stressing out about the little details and what if it is not exactly set up how I want it to be. So i decided to start meeting with a couple different wedding planners so they could take some stress off of me and I will know that they will do exactly what I want. It really is going to be worth every penny knowing that everything I have done and what I am envisioning will be set up perfectly rather than second guessing myself all day of the wedding. I want to be able to relax and enjoy mine and Jeff's day.

I am going to meet with Christina Kreations, I heard she is a amazing, she recently did a friend of mines wedding and she said she was awesome. So I am really excited to meet with her and see what she has to say.

Her website is http://www.christinakreations.com/ if you want to check her out.

Wedding Bands

Prior to Jeff leaving I really wanted to make sure we ordered his wedding band to make sure it fit and was what we wanted. I decided to go with a tungsten ring, which is said to be nearly impossible to scratch. I really wanted this because Jeff is not the most delicate person and I do not want his ring to be all scratched up within a year. I really love it and I think it looks great on him.

Busy Week

Unfortuntely Jeff had to go back to Wake today for football, it was a very sad day, but happy at the same time as this is the last time will be apart. But next time he is back in Florida it will be wedding time. Hard to believe it has gone by so fast, we have already been engaged over a year.
With that said we had an extremely busy week. I wanted to try to get as much in as possible so he could have some say in the little things. Tuesday we went for our food tasting at the University Club along with both of my parents. We have decided to do stations for dinner so it is more of a party and noone is sitting down for a long amount of time waiting for a plated meal. We have chose some really fun food that will be presented in different ways. We are really excited as food was so important to us. We dropped by the church and dropped off our marriage counseling certificate so that is done with.
We went and checked out the place for the rehearsal dinner, Jeff had not seen it before and I wanted to get his approval. It is apart of the Jacksonville Historical Society, Old St. Andrews church. It is a beautiful old church that is rented out for parties now and you can bring in your own food and booze. This was just what we wanted especially since it is so close to our church where the ceremony will be held. We are having more of a formal reception so we wanted our rehearsal to just be laid back and fun.

We are having someone design all of our stationary and we picked out the designs for our menu cards, programs, invitations, rehearsal invites and so forth. So that was a big check. I also picked out my bridesmaid luncheon invites, which i was so excited about I am having a themed luncheon Kentucky derby style, we will all be wearing big hats and have sort of an afternoon tea at an awesome place in Riverside,so i was so excited to come across this invitations that worked perfectly with my theme

I just happened to be on a little shopping trip and came across an amazing BCBG dress. I could not walk by so I went and tried it on and it was perfect. So I bought it for my rehearsal dinner dress. I can not wait to wear it, now I just have to find shoes to go with it.

Things are starting to come together as I am trying to not have to worry about the main things since when football season starts I am on the road every weekend. So I wanted to get as much done as possible in the next month or two. The wedding will be here before you know it.

Lastly, I wanted to say Happy Birthday to my Dad today. He is amazing and wanted to wish him a wonderful birthday. Hope everyone had a great fourth of july weekend.

Pure by Lindsey

Photography for the wedding was so important to me as it is the only thing you have left to hold onto after it is all over. I had the hardest time finding a young hip photographer who had more of a modern flair and not just the same old every day pictures. When I finally found my photographer's website I knew immediately she was perfect. We went ahead and met with her and we all agreed she was the one. I could not have been happier with my decision as her work is beautiful. We had already done our engagement session and were so pleased. I highly reccommend anyone in the North Florida area if you need a photographer check out,

purebylindsey.com

her work is amazing and she is so helpful to everything you need. I can not wait to see our wedding pictures and album after our special day.

here are some of our engagement pictures.
